The driver of the Chevrolet is identified as 20-year-old James Duke of Vidor.
The driver of the Ford is identified as 33-year-old John Andel of Buna.

DPS is investigating a fatal crash on state Highway 62, near County Road 806 near Buna, that happened on Thursday, September 19 at around 11:41 pm.
DPS Media Sergeant Shana Clark said, "The investigation shows that a 2013 Chevrolet Traverse was traveling south, while a 2017 Ford F-150 was traveling north. It is reported that for unknown reasons, the driver of the Chevrolet crossed over into the northbound lane and struck the Ford."
Both drivers were pronounced deceased on scene by a Justice of the Peace. Their identities are not available at this time pending notification of their next of kin.
