A driver who caused a head-on collision that killed two people on December 16, 2023 was indicted by the Jasper County Grand Jury this morning.
According to the report, The Texas Department of Public Safety investigated the accident and found that 30-year-old Antjuan Tyrrell Turner of Burkeville, was intoxicated.
DPS found that Turner tried to pass in a no-passing zone on Hwy 190 East of Jasper. He was driving a 2004 Cadillac and hit head-on with a 2002 Nissan Sentra.
73-year-old Audrey Williams of Holly Springs, died later in a Beaumont hospital. Her passenger, 30-year-old Stephon Johnson of Burkeville, was ejected and died at the scene.
Turner was indicted on two felonies. One count of Intoxication Manslaughter and one count of Manslaughter.
