NEWTON COUNTY - Newton Revitalization Group hosted a hugely successful "Touch-A-Truck" event on Saturday Morning.
Area children and parents were allowed to see, touch and honk the horns of multiple vehicles from large trucks and emergency vehicles to farm equipment and specialty vehicles.
One of the event organizers, Meredith Todd Love stated the following about the event...
If you build it, they will come!
Newton Texas showed up and showed out for the first Touch a Truck event for the whole community.
The Newton VFD had free school supplies, free haircuts, free clothing, and free hot dogs!
Ronnie Cochran Newton County Judge scooped ice-cream (and got very sticky)!
The time and effort to come on a Saturday morning in this HEAT was the most heartwarming thing! Solidifies that Newton people are the best!
We hope the kids had a fine time and that families enjoyed themselves.
