The Newton Eagles came out before a large Newton Nation crowd that channeled Purple Pride to the field. In a hard fought contest the Eagles tough defense stood tall again and again with two interceptions, one that was returned for a late 4th quarter touchdown that sealed the victory. The offense had too much speed in explosive burst that dominated Harmony. The win feels good for last year but Newton moves on to Round Four and the Daingerfield Tigers next week.
