Calls To Service (December 23, 2024, to December 29, 2024):  The Newton County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) answered 46 calls to service.


Jail Population: We currently have 18 inmates in the following jails;


8 housed in Newton, 7 housed in Beauregard, and 3 housed in Jasper.


Jail Transports: NCSO had 1 jail transport:


1 from Orange County to NCSO.


The calls and reports were received by NCSO: 


Bon Wier: Officer Assist, Trespassing, Disturbance, Traffic Hazard, Animal Nuisance


Deweyville: Disturbance, Fire Alarm x 2, 4-Wheeler Call, Alarm, Property Damage, Reckless Driving, Officer Assist, Theft


Newton (Unincorporated Limits): Extra Patrol, Officer Assist x 2, Animal Nuisance, Terroristic Threat


Burkeville: Accident x 2, Trespassing, Officer Assist, Civil Matter, Animal Nuisance


Toledo Bend: Suspicious Activity, Extra Patrol, Fraud


Mayflower: Animal Bite


Adsul: Suspicious Activity


Quicksand: Officer Assist


Wiergate: Medical Assistance
