Calls To Service (October 15, 2024, to October 20, 2024): The Newton County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) answered 60 calls to service.
Jail Population: We currently have 17 inmates in the following jails;
12 housed in Newton, 2 housed in Beauregard, and 3 housed in Jasper.
Jail Transports: NCSO had 4 jail transports:
1 from Harris Co to NCSO, 2 from JCSO to court, 1 from Hospital to NCSO.
