DEATH INVESTIGATION: We are still gathering information regarding the death of Cierra Westbrook, W/F, 33 YOA, whose body was found in the driveway of 910 County Road 4203 in Deweyville on August 23, 2024, at 5:50pm. Anyone with information on Cierra Westbrook’s movements and associations during that time is asked to contact the NCSO Dispatchers at (409)379-3636 and they will direct you to the appropriate person.
Calls To Service (September 2, 2024, to September 8, 2024): The Newton County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) answered 41 calls to service.
Jail Population: We currently have 16 inmates in the following jails;
8 housed in Newton, 1 housed at Mental Health Facility, 3 housed in Beauregard, and 4 housed in Jasper.
