Calls To Service (May 20, 2024, to May 26, 2024):  The Newton County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) answered 67 calls to service.

Jail Transports:  NCSO had 3 jail transports;

1 from NCSO to JCSO, 1 from NCSO to Beauregard, 1 from NCSO 

Jail Population:   We currently have 25 inmates in the following jails;

4 housed in Newton, 11 housed in Beauregard, and 9 housed in Jasper, 1 at Mental Health Facility.

The following individuals were booked into the County Jail:

Deweyville: Civil Matter, Officer Assist x 4, Welfare Concern x 2, Extra Patrol, Disturbance x 3, Alarm, Harassment x 2, Theft, Suspicious Activity, Missing Person (Located) 

Newton (Unincorporated Limits): Trespassing, Disturbance, Alarm, Harassment x 2, Officer Assist x 2, Theft, Mental Health, Suspicious Activity

Burkeville: Civil Standby, Assault, Terroristic Threat

Toledo Bend: Noise Complaint, Welfare Concern, Reckless Driving, Disorderly Conduct 

Call: Harassment, Extra Patrol, Assist Other Agency (Pursuit) 

Trout Creek: Officer Assist

 

Mayflower: Accident

Wiergate: Disturbance

Shankleville: Trespassing x 2

Bleakwood: Criminal Mischief, Theft, Officer Assist x 2, Harassment, Welfare Concern, Noise Complaint

Buckhorn: Suspicious Activity

Pine Grove: Noise Complaint, Disturbance x 3, Officer Assist

Belgrade: Suspicious Activity

Singletary Sites: Trespassing

Old Salem: Suspicious Activity, Harassment
