Calls To Service (March 25, 2024, to March 31, 2024): The Newton County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) answered 75 calls to service.
Jail Transports: NCSO had 2 jail transports;
1 from Mental Health Facility to NCSO, 1 from NCSO to Rust State Hospital.
Jail Population: We currently have 21 inmates in the following jails;
11 housed in Newton, 6 housed in Beauregard, and 4 housed in Jasper.
