Newton County announced a new Burke facility

Newton County Judge Ronnie Cochran announced the establishment of a new Burke Clinical site in Newton County. His announcement is as follows;

Today is an exciting day for Newton County! We are

thrilled to welcome Burke as they establish their newest

clinical site right here in our community. This represents

not only a significant expansion in access to vital health services but also an essential step toward fostering a healthier, more resilient Southeast Texas.

Burke has long been a beacon of hope and support

throughout the region, providing a comprehensive range of services that meet the diverse needs of individuals and families. From mental health care to developmental disability support, substance use recovery, and specialized programs for veterans, Burke’s offerings touch every part of the community. Their dedication to empowering

individuals and strengthening families aligns perfectly with our values here in Newton County.

Let’s talk about what this means for us. Access to quality mental health care is crucial. Burke offers counseling and therapy, crisis intervention, and case management to help people navigate life’s most challenging moments. These services are invaluable for those struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or other mental health conditions.

Having these resources close by will allow residents to

seek timely help without traveling long distances, making mental health care more accessible and reducing the stigma often associated with seeking help.

Burke’s services extend beyond mental health to

encompass care for developmental and intellectual disabilities. The team at Burke provides assessment, therapeutic services, and lifelong support for individuals with developmental disabilities. By bringing these

resources to Newton County, Burke is helping individuals

with disabilities lead fulfilling, independent lives within our

community. This support also provides relief for families and caregivers, who work tirelessly to ensure their loved ones have the best opportunities possible.

Another critical area where Burke shines is in substance

use recovery. With the opioid crisis and substance abuse

issues impacting so many, Burke’s addiction recovery

programs offer people a path to healing and renewed

purpose. Through counseling, detox services, and

structured recovery programs, Burke plays a vital role in helping people rebuild their lives. Their programs not only help individuals recover but strengthen our community by reducing the impact of substance use and enhancing public safety.

And we cannot forget Burke’s services for veterans, whose

bravery and sacrifices deserve our full support. Burke provides specialized care for veterans, addressing unique challenges like PTSD and helping our heroes adjust back to civilian life. These services honor our veterans and ensure they are treated with the dignity and respect

they’ve earned.

Beyond the direct services Burke provides, this new site

brings an economic boost to Newton County. With new

jobs, volunteer opportunities, and partnerships with local

organizations, Burke’s presence will have a ripple effect, enriching our community in ways that will be felt for years to come.

In closing, we want to thank Burke for choosing Newton

County. Your commitment to serving Southeast Texas

strengthens our entire region, and we are so grateful to

have you here. We look forward to the positive changes that will come from having Burke in our community and are ready to partner with you in supporting the health, wellbeing, and resilience of all our residents.

Thank you, and welcome to Newton County, Burke!

Together, we are building a brighter future for all.
