The National Weather Service has extended flood warnings for several rivers in Texas and Louisiana due to ongoing and forecasted moderate flooding. The affected rivers in Texas include the Neches River at the Neches River Saltwater Barrier, while in Louisiana and Texas, the Sabine River near Burkeville, Deweyville, and Bon Wier are impacted. Minor flooding has been reported and is expected to continue. Specifically, the Neches River at the Neches River Saltwater Barrier is experiencing minor flooding, with water levels having reached 4.4 feet as of Thursday morning, surpassing the flood stage of 4.0 feet. The river is predicted to recede below flood stage by this afternoon and continue to drop to 1.2 feet by Tuesday morning. The flooding has caused water to cover parts of Four Oaks Ranch Road by about two feet. The next update from the National Weather Service is scheduled for Friday morning at 8:30 AM CDT.
