Jamestown grass fire & lightening strike handle by collaborative efforts

Newton VFD and Burkeville Fire Dept. responded to a call in Jamestown CR 1022. Grass fire due generator pumping water out if a creek and was left unattended.Fortunately it was extinguished before it spread into a large area

Newton also responded to a tree fire that was caused by a lightening strike. The tree had to be taken down before it could be extinguished.

Both calls resulted in minimal damage.
