Early morning homicide in Newton

The deceased has been identified as 34-year-old Tamarcus Traylor of Newton and it is believed that it happened just after 1:00 a.m. this morning during a possible burglary.

Newton Police Chief Will Jackson today has confirmed that there was a homicide early this morning in Newton.

It is unknown who or why but it is believed that the actor has fled the area in a black vehicle. The identity of the deceased will not be released until after notification to next of kin.

We are awaiting further information from Chief Jackson and will update our readers once that information is made available.
