The citizens of Deweyville turned out to vote on Saturday and overwhelmingly rejected the $47,000,000 School Bond.
Against - 348
For - 130
ETB sat down with local citizen Phillip Taylor, who opposed the bond back at the end of March. Taylor revealed some startling details about how much money the citizens would actually pay in the long run.
Taylor also asked if local company Cottonwood had been informed of the bond considering that their company would be bare the largest financial burden.
ETB reached out numerous times to Deweyville ISD to get their side of the story with no response.
