On December 7, 2018, the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to County Road 265, also known as Hi Truitt Road, in Jasper, Texas in reference to a deceased person.
Upon arrival, deputies located a black male in a wooded area near Adams Chapel who later identified as 22 year old Christopher Spikes of Jasper, Texas.
An autopsy revealed that Spike’s death was the result of a gunshot wound to the head, and the manner of death was homicide.
Multiple persons of interest have been identified and we are seeking any information surrounding the circumstances of Spikes’ death.
