Today was the first review of the proposed budget for 2025. The proposed budget presented to Commissioners Court was approximately $898,000.00 more than what would be collected if the court adopted a “no new revenue rate”, with a collection rate of 96%. A lengthy review and discussion was conducted by the judge and court with participation from other members of county government.
The County Judge will present a modified budget proposal a week from today at 9:30 am on the third floor of the courthouse. Please feel free to attend the upcoming budget workshop and if you have questions about the budget you can contact the County Judges office, County Auditors office and or any of the Commissioners offices.
