7 Day Forecast and Beryl 7pm update
Tropical Storm Warning for Tyler, Liberty, Hardin, Chambers and Jefferson Counties which means wind gusts to around 40 mph possible. Flash Flood Watch in effect for SE Texas through Monday. Storm Surge Warning for coastal Jefferson and Chambers Counties with a surge of 3 to 5 feet up to 6 feet.
Beryl is forecast to make landfall near Palacios between 3 and 5 am Monday as a Category 1 hurricane. It will then quickly move north, weaken and is expected to be near Conroe around 1 pm Monday. SE Texas will see the strongest winds (gusts to around 40 mph) with the potential for training, heavy rain between mid-morning and early afternoon. By 1 am Tuesday, Beryl will continue to weaken and be near Longview with the weather rapidly improving across SE Texas.
By Tuesday, skies may become mostly sunny locally with no rain and highs back into the lower 90s.
Limited rainfall with highs in the lower 90s are forecast Wednesday through Friday with scattered showers and thunderstorms returning to the forecast Saturday.
