7 Day Forecast

12News Meteorologist Patrick Vaughn

Another round of fog, possibly dense is forecast across SE Texas late Sunday Night and Monday Morning with a Dense Fog Advisory from 3 am until 9 am. Mostly sunny skies are forecast Monday afternoon with highs in the middle 80s with a breezy southeasterly wind.

Very similar story for Tuesday with mostly sunny skies during the afternoon with highs in the middle 80s with windy southeasterly winds.

Finally! Scattered, light showers are forecast Wednesday under partly sunny skies with windy southeasterly winds.

Thursday and Friday, scattered to possibly numerous light showers are forecast with highs only in the lower 80s.

Saturday the 2nd and Sunday the 3rd, rain chances drop to just a 20% coverage with highs in the lower to middle 80s.

Many models point towards beneficial rain falling Wednesday through Friday across SE Texas though it doesn't look like a drought buster.

28 days and counting without measurable rainfall. It's been 2 months (at Beaumont) since the last good soaker as the rainfall deficit climbs to over 14 inches since August 1st. Moderate wildfire threat Monday due to dry vegetation and breezy southeast winds.
