7 Day Forecast

12News Meteorologist Patrick Vaughn

Patchy fog is possible overnight and Tuesday Morning followed by possible record highs Tuesday Afternoon.

A cold front will arrive late Tuesday Night followed by a chilly Wednesday Morning. Sunny, breezy and cooler temperatures are expected Wednesday Afternoon.

Burn bans have been issued from nearly every county in SE Texas as the drought worsens with the rainfall deficit of nearly 8 inches. A Fire Weather Watch will be in effect Wednesday thanks to breezy, dry conditions after the frontal passage.

Friday Morning will be chilly followed by a sunny, warm Friday Afternoon.

Dry weather to persist Saturday, Sunday and Monday with lows near 60 and highs in the lower 80s with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies.

The 40s look likely across SE Texas Thursday Morning.

After a cold frontal passage very early Wednesday Morning, a Fire Weather Watch will be in effect Wednesday. Dry vegetation, low humidity and breezy northeasterly winds will create conditions favorable for the rapid spread of wildfires.

Current burn bans across SE Texas with moderate fire weather conditions expected Tuesday as the drought worsens
