7 Day Forecast

12News Meteorologist Patrick Vaughn

Chilly temperatures are forecast Friday Morning - near 40 in the Lakes to the lower and middle 40s in the Triangle followed by a sunny, mild afternoon with highs in the lower to middle 60s. A cold front will push through our area during the afternoon hours with little fanfare.

However, the cold front will result in a chilly weekend with lows in the 30s and highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s...near-freezing low temperatures are likely in the Lakes Area.

The dry weather will persist through Monday.

By Christmas Eve, a slight 20% coverage of showers is forecast with warming temperatures under partly sunny skies.

Rain is forecast for Santa Christmas Eve Night, however the bulk of the activity is forecast to move out by Christmas Morning with just a 20% coverage at this time. Regardless, Christmas looks mild with highs in the lower 70s under partly sunny skies.

Little change is forecast Thursday the 26th with mild temperatures and a slight chance of showers.

Chilly temperatures are again expected across Southeast Texas Friday Morning with lows in the lower to middle 40s in the Triangle to near 40 in the Lakes Area.

Friday looks sunny and mild as a reinforcing cold front arrives with little fanfare. This will result in a chilly, dry weekend across Southeast Texas.

Santa may have a wet Christmas Eve Night to contend with due to an upper level disturbance. IF this system slows down, then rain chances will be higher on Christmas...it's all about the timing.

Below normal temperatures are forecast across Southeast Texas this weekend. Warmer-than-normal temperatures are scheduled for much of next week.
