30's tonight, scattered storms, winds update, and updated 7 Day Forecast

You may want to cover your plants tonight particularly in the Lakes Area as patchy frost is possible with lows there in the middle 30s however, temperatures will dip into the upper 30s to near 40 Friday Morning in the Triangle.


Friday afternoon looks great with mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 60s to lower 70s.


Saturday looks warmer, dry and windy with highs in the middle 70s under partly cloudy skies.


Sunday, a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms is forecast late day however, Sunday night showers and thunderstorms will become increasingly likely as a cold front pushes through the area.


Monday morning, a few left-over showers are forecast however, decreasing cloudiness is expected during the afternoon as the rains move out.


Tuesday and Wednesday look warm with highs around 80 with dry weather.


Late Thursday, an upper-level disturbance will head our way with increasing cloudiness and a slight chance of showers.

An approaching upper-level trough, series of disturbances, instability, lack of capping and cold front should result in scattered to possibly numerous showers, storms Sunday night into Monday morning across Southeast Texas. Severe weather is possible.

Per the Texas A&M Forest Service, Moderate to High wildfire danger is forecast Friday across Southeast Texas due to breezy winds and minimum afternoon humidity around 30%.

Patchy frost is possible Friday morning in the Lakes Area so, you may want to cover your plants. Otherwise, lows in the upper 30s to around 40 in the Triangle are expected.
